Western men prefer usually prefer thin women who are average height to slightly tall whereas men in some other cultures prefer women to be chubby and short.
What are the reasons behind this? Do you think that a woman’s status comes into dating and that the status indicators are different around the world? It is safe to say though that woman’s status doesn’t seem to matter to men as much as a man’s status often matters to women, but I notice that it’s still evident in a lot of men.

it depends. in poor countries fat women are often found attractive because it is a sign of wealth. in rich countries skinny is attractive because it is a sign that you are in shape.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, personal preferences. Some people like bugs, some scream at the sight of them.
I would have thought the answer to this one was glaringly obvious!
Men’s tastes vary far more than do women’s.
Women tend to go for pretty boys, with a square jaw, a six-pack and designer stubble, wealthy middle-aged men or scumbags who treat them like dirt, three basic types.
Men however, have a wide ranging variety of preferences, from the relatively normal to the downright bizarre. Very few men are actually interested in a woman’s bank account, or earning potential. They tend to keep their brains in their underpants.
Men’s tastes are different. How else do you explain that nearly all women have a boy friend or husband ?
However, men differentiate more between women if they only want a short-term affair or if they are looking for a long-term relationship or for the mother of their children. In such a case, a woman’s status may well come into play. I cannot imagine a rich man marrying a waitress. But I can well imagine him having an affair with her.
